What a difference a little rescue dog named Aspen has made in my life!
Aspen made herself at home the moment she stepped all four paws into my home–rolling around on the floor, kissing my face, and making it clear that THIS was the place she wanted to call her home. She’s been my constant shadow and loyal snuggle-bug ever since, and I affectionately call her “my little monster,” as she has the typical “small dog who thinks she runs the neighborhood” personality.
A Tail To Tell Puppy Mill Rescue made the adoption process smooth, and they were very thorough in ensuring that Aspen was going to the right home. They made certain that both myself and the dog would be happily suited to one another, even supplying Aspen’s bed and a beautiful little handmade quilt to help her feel more comfortable with the transition. I was also impressed with the write-up about Aspen on Petfinder. ATTT’s description of her personality on Petfinder’s website was very accurate, and helped me make the right decision when I was considering which pet to adopt. Fortunately for me, Aspen liked my personality in return.
Since having Aspen as my furry roommate for the past few months, it turns out we have more in common than we realized when we first rescued one another. We both love going for walks – but not on rainy or windy days. We both hate cold weather, and that includes a general dislike for bundling up in our coats. We love summertime and warm sunshine. And we love snuggling up on the sofa in the evenings, and an occasional good treat.
This little rescue dog stole my heart. I couldn’t be happier that Aspen and I chose one another to adopt. We make a great team.
