Hi, my name is Sawyer. I am a spunky female bichon who is about 6 years old. I am a typical bichon; I am curious, a little mischievous, and pretty smart! I was rescued from a puppy mill where I lived in a cage. I hated it so much that I now refuse to be crated, and will injure myself if someone forces me to. I also have separation anxiety, but the good news is that I LOVE other dogs.
I am also slowly getting used to living in a house. I was initially scared of people, but they are growing on me. They feed me and give me treats, which I really like. I'm still a bit hesitant though, so I will need a human who is patient with me. I have also discovered toys and beds. Wow, do I LOVE beds! I could spend most of my day sleeping in my bed, and I often do! I do go outside to go potty, but if I am left alone for too long I am not sure what to do and go potty inside. I also like to steal things and bring them to my bed. I remember when I stole my foster parent's remote control and hid it in my bed. It was great! I don't chew on them, I'm just a collector.
My foster parents say that I am a funny dog, and that I would do best in a house where I never have to be crated and would rarely or never be left alone. I definitely need a doggy sibling too!
